- I.C.U. Swimming, Inc. is a minority-owned Baltimore-based Health & Fitness provider responding to the increase in childhood obesity rates. We design and coordinate alternative structured indoor "Fun-Fitness Learning" programs, based on successful summer camp activities used at local universities, to enhance the physical education and fitness curriculums at Schools, After-School programs and Head Starts. Our instructional courses are designed for all skill levels, combining both Fun and Fitness for children ages 4 and up (Pre-K to 8th grade).

- All pool facilities are managed by Baltimore City Department of Recreation-Aquatics Division and meet both the Maryland State recreation guidelines and the American Red Cross indoor pool standards, i.e., safety equipment, construction, pool length (25-50 meters) & depth, equipped lifeguard stations, separate locker rooms, and emergency preparedness first aid kits. The pools will be heated between 68°F - 78°F for maximum comfort.

General Info
Our Learn-to-Swim, -Skating, and other structured sport activities are all alternative indoor school-based "Fun-Fitness Learning" programs designed to reduce childhood obesity through enhanced physical education. Once a week, students ages 4 to 13 (pre-K to 8), spend one hour learning to swim, skate, play soccer and softball at one of two indoor heated pool facilities, skating rink, and arena, managed by Baltimore City Recreation and Parks, and the newly renovated Shake and Bake Family Fun Center, as part of their physical education experience. Our school-day "Fitness Learning Programs" introduce and integrate swimming, skating, softball and soccer as a FUN-Fitness choice that builds Interest, Confidence, Safety and Skill Development, while Reducing Childhood Obesity in support of the First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign. Our structure fitness programs offer flexible scheduling options and terms, with FREE school bus transportation, for easy transition into a variety of academic curriculums.
