  John M. Hassett, esq., has been engaged in the practice of criminal defense for over 30 years. He is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland, the United States District Court for Maryland, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals for the United States, and the Supreme Court of the United States. • Sex Crimes
  After serving as a Judicial Intern for the Circuit Court for Frederick County, Mr. Hassett was an Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore City where he prosecuted cases involving misdemeanors, felony narcotic violations, murder, rape and sex offenses, crimes of violence and criminal conspiracies. He supervised and prosecuted several narcotic wiretap investigations. Mr. Hassett was cross-designated as an Assistant United States Attorney prior to establishing his law practice.

Upon graduation from Frostburg State University in 1976, Mr. Hassett attended the University of Baltimore Law School where he received his Juris Doctor in 1979.
