  Minimally invasive surgery remains the only effective treatment. Cataract surgery is now one of the safest and most frequently performed surgeries in the United States. The decision to undergo surgery is reached between doctor and patient only after a thorough consultation at one of our practices. Some patients are willing to live with faltering vision for months, and even years; however, most patients opt for surgery as soon as the dimming and blurring of their vision begins to affect their daily routine. Cataracts do not improve with time, they continue to progress and cause visual problems.

  Today, patients now have a fast and effective treatment for the lines and wrinkles that commonly develop near the forehead, brows, and eyes. Known as "expression lines," these wrinkles are the result of years of muscle contraction from common facial expressions like squinting, frowning, and smiling.   Medications are administered for your comfort during the surgical procedure. • Forehead Lift
  Removal of fat from your eyelids, which is usually the cause of puffiness and bags, is permanent, and these conditions generally will not recur. The skin continues to age, however, and skin laxity along the fine wrinkling of the eyelid area may, at some point, return (although never to the extent that it was present before surgery). Sometimes loss of tone in the forehead causes additional sagging of the eyebrows that mimics a recurrence of drooping upper eyelids. If this happens, correction may require a forehead lift or a secondary eyelid procedure.

  IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment offers a less invasive alternative to laser skin resurfacing and chemical peels.
