Started in 1911, John H. Hampshire is a pioneer in the construction industry with a sound reputation for quality interior and exterior construction in the Mid-Atlantic area. Specialties include plaster, including ornamental and stucco; flooring, including wood, vinyl and composite flooring, and carpet; drywall, including light-gauge framing; acoustical ceilings and exterior finishing systems. The company was started by its founder, John Hampshire, as a plastering contractor working on jobs in the Baltimore area. Since then, the company has evolved into one of the largest interior finishes subcontractors in the area. The company has completed projects as far south as Florida and as far north as Connecticut, but serves mainly Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
