She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and went on to complete her internship and residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. Dr. Silver is the Division Head of Outpatient Services for the Herman and Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital and was named one of Baltimore Magazine's Top Docs in 2020
