Reviews
I am writing this review in hopes to stop anyone else from having to endure the same terrible experience that I have. On May 6th 2017 I went to this store to purchase a battery for my 2011 Honda Accord Cross tour. The store techinian (Wayne) installed my battery incorrectly causing a power surge to run through my car and completely blow my alternator. Before he installed my battery he checked my alternator and told me it was fine. After getting the battery installed I noticed my car was way more powerful than usual, the techinian told me it was because I had a new battery and not to worry. Well I didn't even get 1/4 of a mile away from the parking lot at Auto Zone before my car started smoking! I immediately went back to the store, the technician and the Asst. Store manager (Tony) both could not tell me what was wrong. I turned my car off and at that point it went completely dead with smoke still coming from my alternator. Tony the asst. store Manager called the his boss Store Manager Alvin Govan on the phone and told him what happened. (I was standing right there listening) He told him something went wrong with the install and that they would have a repair claim coming, Tony then told me that I would have to file a claim and assured me they would pay for the repairs within 1 or 2 business days after the claim is filed. I had to be towed out of Auto zone's parking. After 4 tows and 3 mechanics my car finally got accurately diagnosed at Xtereme Motors on O'Donnell St. They even provided Auto Zone with a detailed explanation of why this happened to my car. The explanation clearly states there was a power surge due to the battery being installed incorrectly. Now after 9 days Auto Zone is giving me the run around. Telling me that it's not that cut and dry. It's seems quite clear, cut and dry to me and just down right common sense, being as though I drove into Auto Zone with NO PROBLEMS and had to be towed away!! I watched this technician put my negative cable on first then my positive with the key still in the ignition. I as a customer has no clue of how a battery is to be properly installed. I am also a Lyft Driver and has been unable to earn any income since May 6th. I feel that Auto Zone is responsible for my repairs, tows, diagnosis at the other two repair shops and all is my Lyft rides to and from trying to figure out what happened to my car, as well as my lost wages for the time I have not been able to use my car for work. I have also called and left messages for the District Manager Lester Stanley who hasn't return any of my phone calls either. Please Please Please NEVER GO TO AUTO ZONE to have ANYTHING done to your car!! Save yourselves the time, money and headache PLEASE! I am still waiting on a response from them and is still without my car 9 days later!! My next step is to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office of consumer complaints and get my attorney involved.

Provided by YP.comI Wish i could give zero stars. This is singlehandedly the WORST auto parts store I've ever been to. I have recieved the wrong part every time I've gone in, and waited in long lines to return the wrong parts, only to be treated rudely and told I am wrong and the part fits because the number in their computer system says so. If you can't spell coil spring, or manage to differentiate between front and rear shocks, you are not qualified to be a "parts manager" or even have a job. Upon telling the clerk he had given me the rear shocks instead of the front (the third time I had returned this part because it was wrong) I was told I was wrong and to take my money and get out. I tried to prove it by showing them the old shock but they simply didn't care. I actually put the right ones on hold earlier in the day-I held them in my hands! And they told me I was wrong and it wasn't their problem. I have wasted one too many days buying and returning parts to these stupid entitled people who think they are right and the customer is an annoyance. This entire branch should be closed if they can't learn to run it. I will be calling the corporate office and will do my best to see these people fired. But let's be real, nothing is going to happen. So I warn others right now: DON'T BOTHER GOING HERE. It will only ruin your day or In my case a whole weekend. Go to salvo or advance or pepboys or the dealership but don't give these clowns one dime of your hard earned money. God knows they aren't earning it.
