Ashburton is one of the filtration plants operated by the Baltimore City Department of Public Works in the state of Maryland. The department collects residential trash and recycling materials from more than 210,000 homes. The Baltimore City Department of Public Works maintains over 3,100 miles of sanitary mains that deliver wastewater to treatment plants. The department has a staff of over 3,000 employees. It is a part of the government of the City of Baltimore in Maryland.
