- DrivewaysConcrete flatwork is a common component of many roadway and infrastructure projects. As such, it’s a focus of C.W. Matthews concrete paving and construction division. We maintain multiple crews made up of experts in driveway, sidewalk, curb and gutter, and other forms of concrete flatwork. Our crews work in conjunction with our main project teams to complete their work safely, efficiently, and to the precise specifications of the project.
- Asphalt PavingC.W. Matthews’ paving team is experienced in all aspects of the asphalt paving process. We adhere to the exact tolerances required by the Georgia Department of Transportation, and use stringent quality control measures to ensure the correct product and application. Our teams are also adept at operating in high-traffic areas. We follow established protocols designed to reduce impact on traffic and ensure the safety of our employees and the safety of the public.
- ExcavationOur operations team members are certified in a number of areas including confined space, excavation and trenching, fall protection, first aid and CPR, as well as many other operator safety certifications.
- Retaining WallsC.W. Matthews performs work on various structures included in modern infrastructure design. We’re highly experienced in all forms of bridge construction, as well as retaining walls, sound barriers, and other forms of concrete support structures.
- Walkways
- SidingThe Rockmart, Georgia terminal is serviced by Norfolk-Southern RR and CSX RR. The rail siding has a capacity to unload 20 cars at a time. All tanks at this facility have the capability to blend materials. Georgia is primarily a 64-22 and 67-22 spec state, but we take different materials such as other PG grades, 0-10 PEN, flux, etc. to blend on spec products. We have a Polymer-Modified Asphalt (PMA) plant at this facility to produce our own 76-22.
