Heritage Christian Schools has been serving families in Kern County since 1967. The mission of all three schools (Readyland Preschool, Heritage Academy and Heritage Junior High) is to educate the whole child - spiritually, academically, physically and emotionally. HCS is a member of and accredited through WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and ACSI (Associated Christian Schools International). In addition to its well-rounded curriculum, HCS provides fine arts elective courses, utilizes SMARTBoards in the classrooms, and maintains a Learning Center for students who need additional academic assistance. Throughout the course of the year, the Parent Support Group also plans and organizes various activities for students and families to enjoy together.
