Founded in 1950, Center For the Blind & Visually Impaired is an organization for Braille education and recreational activities. Located in Bakersfield, Calif., the center offers various programs, such as independent living skills, computer technology training, low vision evaluation/aids, orientation/mobility, Braille instruction and peer group support. It also provides resource referrals as well as advocacy and community education for the blind/visually impaired and their families. Center For the Blind & Visually Impaired has partnership with Java Fit Gives Back, a coffee company, to raise funds.
