Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County is a social welfare organization that serves children between the ages of 5 and 17. It offers educational, health care and character development programs. The organization provides homework assistance, tutoring and mentoring services for children. It also offers computer education and photography classes, as well as leadership and life skill development programs. The organization s After School Education and Safety program includes academic support services for students in grades one through nine. It also offers summer day camps that include a variety of activities, such as sports, games and music shows. The organization offers financial assistance services for disadvantaged youths. It operates Frazier Mountain, Delano and Stockdale clubs. Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County is located in Bakersfield, Calif.
