Berry Petroleum, founded in 1909, is an independent oil and gas company with producing operations in California, Utah and Colorado totaling more than 100,000 gross developed acres. The company also has interests in more than 1 million gross undeveloped and prospective acres of oil and gas leasehold land positions in the Uinta, Denver-Julesburg, Piceance and Williston Basins in the western United States. Berry owns and operates working interests more than 55 leases in San Joaquin Valley Basin, Los Angeles Basin and Ventura Basin in California. The company sponsors various programs of the American Cancer Society, United Way and Kern Adult Literacy Council, and awards college scholarships to graduating high school students. Berry Petroleum is headquartered in Bakersfield, Calif.
