Thumb Tool & Engineering provides in-house tool and die engineering and production at its facility. The company uses a line of machine equipment, including CNC Wire EDM with a five axis capability, CNC orbiters, CNC Lathes, CNC machine centers and 3-D programming. Thumb Tool is also a supplier of press tooling, including stems, quick-change fixed dummy block systems, shear blades, pressure rings, pressure plates, die rings, containers and liners. Its line of support tooling consists of backers and bolsters with nitrogen grooving as well as feeder plates. The company s engineering department utilizes CAD-CAM programming to ensure its clients exact geometry when designing their profiles.
