Kinsey Houseboats is a family owned and operated houseboat rental located on 20 mile long Birch Lake near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). Birch Lake is surrounded by the Superior National Forest and is approximately 10% developed with over 80 miles of shoreline and a total of 7800 acres. Birch Lake and Kinsey Houseboats make a great destination for picturesque settings on this pristine wilderness lake in Northern MN. Great fishing includes walleye, northern pike, crappie, small mouth bass, bluegill, perch and sucker. We like to remind people to think outside the box when they rent a house boat. We’re not just for fishing, Kinsey Houseboats also has hosted family reunions, girl’s weekends, bachelor parties, honeymoons, weddings. The perfect family vacation where everyone can find their own little bit of fun from reading to exploring the outdoors to just playing in the water. Having been in business since 1995, we pride ourselves on providing you with that extra special customer service to ensure that your vacation is one that you will remember for years to come. Our fleet of 5 houseboats range in size from 33’ to 50’ and sleep anywhere from 4 people to 8 people. If you have a smaller family or group, then one of our 33-foot or 36-foot houseboats that sleep four and six people respectively will be just right for you. Larger groups will find that our 42-foot and 50-foot houseboats that sleep eight are just right for them. Our most luxurious model is The Four Queens, a spacious boat with three queen-bed staterooms and one queen-bed couch. This house boat also includes a roomy kitchen for cooking meals or having a quick snack. All of our houseboats are equipped with gas grills, swimming slides, deck table and chairs, gps and marine radios. Kinsey Houseboats offers 3, 4 and 7 night trips.
