The exam process was great, i had no issues with the doctor, or her assistant. Both my daughter and I had a great experience until it came to the point of ordering from the retail side. The associate began with my daughter's glasses and insisted with my insurance, her glasses would cost $215. This didn't sound quite right, but she then went on to quote me nearly as much for my glasses and over $125 for my contacts. I immediately questioned the cost, as that is outrageous. I was told that was what was covered. I was embarassed as I could not afford all that was quoted to me. I proceeded to order my Daughters and figured i would just wait until another time for mine. I sat in the car confused as i tried to call around to other places. All the while, my daughter is crying as she is feeling that she is costing me to much and that i will have to go with out. I called later to cancel that order, as I found out I could self pay at Walmart for less than 1/3 of the $215 quoted. I spoke with the manager who asked me to come in. I came in and upon examining my order, the associate who worked with me had put all the upgrades on our glasses (that insurance wouldn't cover) with out consulting me. I removed them. I ended up paying $55 out of pocket ($30 more than my copay to get a warranty that comes free with the walmart glasses). after all this "mix up" I discover i was charged for a contact exam, and not given my contact prescription, I have to make a third trip in to get that if I want it. I will NEVER do business with this optical center EVER again. The manager was very apologetic for his employee's "mistake", but this does not correct nor help the situation in anyway
