The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater is a facility operated by the Vail Valley Foundation. The facility houses a box office, as well as hosts several concert series. It provides a covered seating space for more than 1,200 visitors. The facility hosts Bud Light Hot Summer Nights, which is an annual summer concert series that features shows, including rock, country, bluegrass and funk music. The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater offers various private rental opportunities. It provides special accommodations for individuals with limited mobility. Operational since 1981, the Vail Valley Foundation works to raise and distribute funds for charitable purposes through various educational, cultural, historical, artistic and athletic performances and events. The foundation offers a variety of cultural and educational services to residents in the Vail Valley.
