The Travis County Sheriff's Office, also known as TCSO, is a law enforcement agency. It operates command, reserve and specialized units. The office offers community outreach, educational and home safety programs. The Travis County Sheriff's Office s correctional facility houses various detainees. It is a member of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. The office also maintains crime statistics, clearance letters and incident reports. The Travis County Sheriff's Office provides the Chaplains Program. In addition, it offers several volunteer opportunities and operates a victim services division. The office issues civil warrants and maintains a K-9 unit that searches hidden suspects.
