As a pure exploration and production business, the company engages independent contractors to drill its wells and does not refine or market its own oil and gas. The company's growth strategy is to acquire working interests in producing oil and natural gas properties already being operated by other oil and gas firms. Texas Vanguard sells all of its production to traditional industry purchasers who have the facilities to transport the oil and gas from the well site.
