Steve Skinner established Skinner Transportation in 1993 as a specialist carrier in Austin for construction and industrial related services. STI is a transporter of bulk commodities of lime, all types of asphalt, cut black asphalt, and emulsions for Texas and surrounding states. STI is one of the largest bulk carriers of lime in Texas. The company supplies customers liquid and bulk transportation needs by providing incident-free and cost-effective services. The company s fleet numbers nearly 55 lime and 35 asphalt tank trailers divided among the headquarters terminal in Austin and three other terminals in Texas. There are 80 Freightliner tractors that are used interchangeably with the trailers.
