- Real Estate LitigationMarc Knisely is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Appellate Law and handles a broad array of state and federal appeals, including constitutional claims and issues; contract disputes; oil, gas, and other mineral matters; water law matters; torts; statutory claims and issues; and procedural questions. He has written and submitted numerous amicus curiae briefs and has handled appeals from a range of actions and proceedings in Texas administrative agencies. In addition to his appellate practice, Marc practices Texas coastal and river law, which includes matters such as coastal and river boundary disputes involving principles of littoral or riparian ownership, and Open Beaches Act questions.

He was first certified in that specialty in 1988, and recertified in 1993, 1998, 2003, and 2008. For over 25 years, Mr. Jackson has worked in areas related to oil, gas and mineral law, the mining of Texas lignite, regulatory matters before the Railroad Commission of Texas, and real estate transactions. Mr. Jackson regularly appears before the Railroad Commission of Texas, as well as in various state district courts, appellate courts and other state agencies.
