The Community New Start is a ministry that works to works to alleviate poverty, illness, lack of education and homelessness in the community. It provides a range of educational, volunteering, social and spiritual services for individuals and the communities in which they live. The ministry administers Smart Start, which is an after-school program that includes Bible study, recreational activities and homework assistance services for children. Community New Start conducts a mentoring program, known as Side by Side, which features academic improvement of youths from various schools. The ministry also participates in a variety of fundraising events. Community New Start is located in Austin, Texas.
