Pleasant High Elementary School is a part of the Austin Independent School District and offers educational programs to students studying in prekindergarten through grade five. The elementary school's major programs and initiatives include early childhood education, bilingual special education (grades 1-3 and grades 4-5), primary school and bilingual classrooms (grades pre-kindergarten through grade 5). Pleasant High Elementary School also runs a parent teachers association (PTA), a grassroots organization made up of parents, teachers and others, who have a special interest in children, families and schools. Its members are a part of one of the largest child-advocacy organizations in the state.
