Founded in 1957, Pecan Springs Elementary School is a part of the Austin Independent School District. Located in Austin, Texas, the school serves students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. Its academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social science, and health and physical education. Pecan Springs Elementary School also offers a range of special education programs and services for students with special needs. The school has a cafeteria that serves chicken nuggets, cheeseburgers, pepperoni pizzas, toasted cheese sandwiches and Salisbury steaks. In addition, it offers a range of athletic activities and bilingual programs. Pecan Springs Elementary School has a library and media center that offers an accelerated reader program.
