Located in Austin, Texas, Martin Middle School is an educational institution that enrolls students in grade six though eight. Established in 1967, it employs a staff of more than 100 teachers and paraprofessionals. The school offers classes in various subjects, such as math, reading, history, social studies, life sciences, business education, language arts, English and Spanish. It also has the Campus Advisory Council that consists of parents, students, business and community representatives, and teachers and campus staff who provide review and comment on the campus educational program, performance, improvement plan and budget. Martin Middle School s curriculum includes activities related to orchestra and band, as well as education in technology, video production, journalism and media studies. The campus is a part of the Austin Independent School District, which owns and operates various high, middle and elementary schools.
