  What generates most of the electricity in your vehicle is not the battery, but the alternator. The alternator transforms mechanical energy into electrical energy. It sends power to essential parts of your vehicle like the headlights, the engine fan, ignition coils and various parts of the fuel injection system. It also powers non-essential, but still very important parts like the radio and air conditioning system. It's important to have your alternator checked regularly because it's not always readily apparent when it fails. It can fail in stages and even when it goes out completely, your battery will take over for a short period of time. The starter does the opposite of the alternator. It changes electrical energy into mechanical energy. The starter uses the electricity from the car battery to start the crankshaft turning, and that gets your vehicle going.

  Having your steering and suspension serviced is important not only for repairs, but can help as an effort to prolong the life of your tires. This component of your vehicle controls the stability of your driving control, and without proper maintenance, suspension system can weaken overtime.

• CV Boot Replacement
  CV Boots hold grease that lubricates the drive axles on front wheel drive vehicles. When a boot tears or cracks from age, wear, or road hazards, the grease flies out as the axle spins. This causes major damage to the axle. The drive axles are located on the underside of the vehicle; so damaged boots often go unnoticed. Come in and we will do a FREE inspection of your suspension.

Tires

• Tire Repair
  During the Warranty Term, Brake Check will provide a Brake Check customer (“Customer†) free flat tire repair for each tire purchased from Brake Check with a Tire Road Hazard Warranty (“Road Hazard Warranty†). Flat tire repair is limited to the tread area only and Brake Check does not repair a tire if the injury extends into the shoulder or sidewall area, and in this situation the tire must be replaced. If a tire cannot be repaired, we will replace the tire up to the original purchase price up to 3/32†of tread depth or six (6) years of age.
• Wheel Alignment
  Tie rod ends are a critical piece of your car’s steering system. They connect the steering rod that is turned by your steering wheel to the steering rack which connects your tires and applies the force to turn them. Brake Check can adjust or replace tie rod ends, keeping your steering functioning at 100% and aiding with wheel alignment.
• Tire Replacement
  Customer is responsible for maintaining copies of Customer’s receipts of purchase from Brake Check of tires and the Road Hazard Warranty. Customer may receive up to one (1) tire replacement for each tire covered by the Road Hazard Warranty subject to the terms below and will be responsible for any costs to mount and balance the replacement tire. Customer may purchase a new Road Hazard Warranty for each new or replaced tire. A link to the Road Hazard Warranty will be on the purchase receipt and can also be found on our website at www.brakecheck.com/warranties.

  Brake Check will always inspect your brake fluid during a FREE brake inspection, even though most folks only think about it every 3-4 years when they are getting a full brake repair. Manufacturer maintenance schedules call for brake fluid replacement every 24,000 miles.
