Old Second Bancorp, based in Aurora, Ill., is one of the area's leading financial services organizations. Established in 1871, its largest subsidiary is Old Second National Bank, with branch facilities at several Fox Valley locations in the state. The bank provides personal banking services, including checking accounts, savings, mortgage and consumer loans, and Internet banking. The bank offers business banking services, such as merchant and international services, and cash management. In addition to its banking business, in 1997, Old Second Bancorp acquired Old Second Mortgage Company, that is one of the few bank-affiliated mortgage companies in the Chicago area, with its main office located in St. Charles, Ill.
