Jefferson Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. The school offers instruction in Spanish, reading, math and social studies. It provides a variety of programs in physical education, vocal music, computer technology and band, as well as participation options in several athletic activities, such as volleyball and wrestling. Jefferson Middle School also administers the English as a Second Language program. The school manages a library media center that offers access to reading materials. In addition, it operates a parent-teacher association that works for student welfare. Jefferson Middle School is governed by School District 129, which enrolls more than 12,500 students.
