A person can also choose to explore the avenue of Art Therapy anytime during treatment, which combines using art materials with verbal processing. Lisa offers a wide variety of creative modalities such as drawing, clay, collage, painting, music, poetry, chalk, oil pastels, found objects, textures, dance movement, mandalas, boxes, puppets, and mixed media. Benefits of Art Therapy include increased self-awareness, safe expression, stress reduction, mood and energy elevation, and increased self-esteem through visualization of strengths, goals, and positive transformations. No prior art skills are needed for art therapy, because the focus is on the process of healthy expression without any judgment.
