- Compassionate, active listener dedicated to working with clients to help them resolve mental health issues. Talented at setting patients at ease and structuring treatment plans around patients strengths. Utilize a compassionate, empathic, mindful approach, utilizing acceptance and unconditional positive regard to promote self-awareness and change. Passionate and committed to providing the highest level of care to patients. Highly-motivated licensed mental health therapist with 8+ years in both mental health clinic and community settings. How I describe myself: I subscribe to an eclectic therapy style that uses techniques drawn from several different schools of thought. It is a more flexible approach that allows the therapist to adapt to each clients individual needs. Some therapists adhere largely to a single orientation, such as psychoanalysis or cognitive-behavioral theory, others self-identify as eclectic in orientation, utilizing whichever techniques work best in any given situation.I am very client centered in my approach to clients and believe each person has their own power and potential to heal. My approach is based on clients strengths and collaboration on what mode of therapy works best for them. I often use variations of Dialectical Behavior, Cognitive Behavior, Solution Focused, Narrative, Communication, Strategic Therapies as best fit the clients needs, personality, and presenting problem.
