Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes is one of the largest diabetes and endocrine care centers, and is located in Aurora, Colo. The clinical team provides comprehensive programs of health care and education to more than 2,000 children, adults and their families. It provides knowledge and guidance through its clinical team about diabetes management to enable them to better protect themselves against future complications. It also supports clinical and basic science research programs to study life-threatening chronic diseases and discover ways to prevent and cure childhood diabetes. It has an has an active predoctoral and postdoctoral research training program that includes basic and clinical scientists and covers a wide range of disciplines, including immunology, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology and population genetics.
