Building permits are offered by the Building Codes Division, which is administered by the city of Aurora in Colorado. The Building Codes Division offers a range of commercial, counter, limited, single-family and tenant finish permits. It offers the installation of fire protection, sprinkler and alarm systems, as well as commercial kitchen hood suppression, racking and dry chemical extinguishing equipment. The division also offers the certificates of occupancy to residents. The Building Codes Division carries out the inspection of escalators and elevators.
