Went to The Mailing center Western Ave,Augusta, Me June 20, 19 around 1:30pm to send Amazon return-Just had to show code on my phone. Man at desk said he couldn’t print of the label. He told me I had to take package to Waterville UPS store, or I could call Amazon and they would send me a label.
I was outside the Mailing Center Store looking up UPS locations when a UPS driver drive up to deliver to the vaping center. I asked him if he could take my Amazon package. He was not able to, but told me the UPS store was just down the street next to Little Cesars!!
I told the clerk in the Western Ave UPS store. The clerk said, “Yes, the Mailing Center tries to steer business away from us!
Mailing Center, I will never visit your store again & I am going to give UPS a written complaint against you!

This post office is clearly understaffed for the counter work that needs to be done. There is often a line of people waiting for service with one representative handling the crowd and the other one doing some other work. I have actually seen both people working, but the former is mostly the case. Additionally, there is not one chair an elderly or disabled person can sit while waiting in long lines. Parkiing is another area that is far too inadequate with cars often waiting in line in the street. I feel the USPS is disrespecting our Capitol city with such shameful small town operation. The workers are, however, pleasent, but clearly over worked.
