The Kennebec County Sheriff's Office is a law enforcement agency that provides services in Kennebec County, Maine. Established in 1799, it employs more than 120 sworn officers. The department operates a correctional facility and detention center that houses over 150 convicted criminals. It offers a variety of services, such as crime prevention, neighborhood watch, personal and home safety, crime reporting, identity theft and business crime prevention.
