Capital Area Technical Center, located in Augusta, Maine, is a technical training institute. The institute provides a wide range of programs, including auto collision technology, auto reconditioning, automotive technology, biotechnology, and building construction. It also provides training program in computer technology, culinary arts, drafting technology, early childhood, and health occupations. Capital Area Technical Center offers a variety of other programs, such as law enforcement, machine tools, multimedia, plumbing and heating, and printing technology. The institute uses the Pinnacle Information System, a computer software program, to design and track technical and academic program standards. It records student achievements electronically to maintain their performance.
