While she only had cats growing up she enjoyed being around friends and family members dogs. She often babysat her uncles dog, Gizmo, while he was out of town. Fast forward a few years, Erin began her career in corporate America at 15 years old as web developer. However, after receiving a degree in IT and spending 18 years working for various large corporations Erin felt it was time to start her own business and follow her passion of being an entrepreneur and working with dogs. Erin started working with dogs at the SPCA of Texas as volunteer. She helped conduct behavior evaluations on dogs to help determine what type of home would best suit them. She also helped train the dogs basic obedience commands to help increase their chances of getting adopted. Currently Erin fosters for Cody’s Friends Rescue and has fostered over 70 dogs in the last 3 years. The Beginning of Canine Cowboy Erin began dog sitting in her home in December 2015 as a fun way to make extra money. As a frequent traveler herself, and often to places without cell reception, Erin understands what it is like to have to leave beloved fur children behind. Therefore, she has a unique understanding of pet parents’ concerns and feelings when they have to leave their pets in the care of someone else. Erin is an expert in all things dog and looks forward to meeting you and your dogs on a future stay. We’ll put your dog into a group based on size, age and play style to ensure that he or she has the best time. Meet-and-greets cost $10, and if your dog passes, you get a credit toward boarding; if your pooch isn’t a good fit for a stay with Canine Cowboy, we’ll refund the fee.
