Opened in 1994, Atlantic City High School enrolls more than 2,500 students and has a staff of over 200 employees. Its facilities include a 750-seat theater, 50,000-volume library, fully equipped television and radio studio, 48-seat distance learning laboratory, science research laboratory and greenhouse, and graphics and communications laboratory. The school s athletic complex can accommodate various sports activities and features an Olympic-sized swimming facility, over eight tennis courts, a 2,000-seat gymnasium, and a 5,000-seat football and track stadium. Atlantic City High School offers academic programs in fine and performing arts, computer science, English, foreign languages, graphic arts, and health and physical education. It additionally offers classes in history, social science, home economics, industrial and technical education, mass communication, mathematics and science. In addition, Atlantic City High School has a guidance department that provides counseling services. The school is located in Atlantic City, N.J., and is a part of the Atlantic City School District.
