An a/c unit, less than 2 years old, the coil is bad. Been without a/c for 3 weeks in August & September in Florida. No response to emails, on hold for cust. svc for 25 minutes, then call disconnected. they sent out wrong coil and then refused my installer's request to send the correct one overnight. Still have no idea when it will be delivered... out $500 for portable a/c, losing my corals in our 180 gallon salt water aquarium, missed 2 days of work, no one cares! Do not buy Rheem!!

MY COILS CORRODING WITHIN 6 MOS OF INSTALL ON A RHEEM 2 STAGE 18 SEER COMMUNICATING BRAND NEW UNIT FALL OF 2013. dealer refused to warranty exchange. called Rheem they played dumb as if they knew nothing about corrosion issue. Stated its a chemical reaction if my coils are corroding ... but they wont split hairs and they will replace if under warranty .... really ??? how a chemical reaction ?? no chemicals are hitting coils ?? not installed in house, in garage where air is circulating always. cars not parked in garage. he stated the switched to mfg with aluminum in fall of 2013 .. i guess i missed the cut !!! needed new coils under warrantee and still had to pay

Purchased and installed a new water heater on Sunday, April 13th. Within five days the pilot refused to stay lit. Two attempts to reach them on line or register the heater were unsuccessful. Called them Apr. 25 and was told "those new heaters can't be registered online." It appears that the diagnosis and repair will take another 4-6 days. Very frustrating experience for a new Rheem customer in the SF Bay Area! I do not expect to purchase from them again.

My 2.5 yr old Rheem has died. Service is charging $225 to replace warranted parts. I emailed the company for info and never received a response. After reading the other review, guess it does not pay to call either. I will never buy another Rheem.

God-awful technical support. On hold for 90 minutes and one person contradicts another on warranty status. All I wanted was to buy a repair part!My local dealers have stopped stocking parts because of bad customer service, so think twice before buying a RUUD water heater.
