The Laureate Medical Group, founded in 1991, offers a range of medical and clinical services and research procedures. It operates the Laureate Clinical Research Group, which provides a variety of services, clinical trials and scientific research analysis in various fields of internal medicine, pharmaceuticals and other medical care programs. The group offers study protocols that are Food and Drug Administration-approved, and it is a member of the Institutional Review Board that governs the medical and nonmedical professional procedures. Additionally, the medical group is governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. It accepts insurance from Cigna, Humana, PHCS, Southcare and Beechstreet. The Laureate Medical Group is located in Atlanta.
