Land Protection Branch conducts compliance inspections for solid waste handling facilities. In addition, the branch approves surface mining land use plans. It reviews applications and plans for transfer stations and compost facilities. Land Protection Branch enforces regulations for the installation of hazardous substance underground storage tank systems.
