Founded in 1962, Community Solutions is a nonprofit organization that promotes independence and accountability among at-risk and disadvantaged adults, teenagers and children. The organization serves individuals referred through contracts with state and federal juvenile and adult criminal justice systems, as well as social service agencies. Its residential work release program helps adults to obtain full-time employment and meet financial and self-sufficiency goals. Community Solutions provides long-term residential treatment programs for substance-affected women and their children. In addition, the organization offers mother and infant bonding programs. It offers inpatient substance abuse treatment and day reporting programs. Community Solutions operates Alternative Incarceration Centers that provide a community-based alternative to incarceration for nonviolent offenders. The center maintains a location in Atlanta.
