Founded in 1955, The Athens-McMinn Family YMCA is a social service organization serving the communities of McMinn County. Based in Athens, Tenn., the organization in collaboration with public schools and private schools provides child care up to 200 children per day. It also offers health and fitness programs for individuals of all ages. The Athens-McMinn Family YMCA conducts mini-summer camps that feature a range of activities, including soccer, basketball, dance and cheer leading. In addition, its swim program consists of water aerobics, swimming, member recreation swim and senior splash.
