Havar is a private, nonprofit corporation operating in Athens and Washington Counties in Ohio. Since 1972, the organization has been providing community-based supports to citizens with developmental disabilities. It also provides services to people with disabilities at home through autism resource center, supported living and homemaker care, person-centered planning, service coordination, day programs, and passport and children services. In addition, it provides opportunities for consumers to participate in a variety of community programs. These opportunities include People First Chapters and Advocates For Public Policy Change. Havar offers reservation of four seats on its board to individuals with disabilities. The organization is located in Athens, Ohio.
