Founded in 1828, the Medical College of Georgia is one of the oldest medical schools in the United States and enrolls more than 2,400. The college features a 540-bed medical center, student center, wellness center in addition to residence halls. The Medical College of Georgia s library offers a collection of over 160,000 books, journals and periodicals. It provides bachelor s degrees in fields, such as clinical laboratory science, dental hygiene and respiratory therapy. The Medical College of Georgia offers residency training in medical and dental areas. The college provides academic programs in allied health sciences, dentistry, graduate studies, medicine, and nursing of bachelor's, master's, doctoral and first professional levels. It is staffed with several instructors, volunteers and administrators. The Medical College of Georgia is located in Augusta, Ga.
