Information Technology Outreach Services, also known as ITOS, is a public service and outreach unit that serves enterprises in the governmental, nonprofit and service delivery sectors. The company develops geographic information systems (GIS) and other data-driven applications on a variety of database and software platforms. It offers cartography and special purpose mapping services, as well as database applications and data integration services. Information Technology Outreach Services GIS production workforce includes managers in charge of cartography, hydrography, internal support, soils, parcels and transportation. The company creates new data and revises existing data using aerial photography and multispectral satellite imagery systems. Located in Athens, Ga., it is a division of Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
