Health Plan Select is a Georgia-based health maintenance organization affiliated with Athens Regional Medical Center. The company is dedicated to improving the health and well being of the citizens of Northeast Georgia. Health Plan Select is licensed by the Georgia Department of Insurance. It is a nonprofit organization, so any excess revenue that is generated is returned to and remains in the community. Health Plan Select contracted with MedImpact Healthcare Systems to become its third party pharmacy claims administrator. MedImpact offers a program that centers on customer satisfaction. This change in pharmacy benefit management was done to allow AAHPS flexibility in designing benefit plans that meet the needs of its employer groups. Health Plan Select is headquartered in Athens, Ga.
