Provided by YP.comI used to live in Winter Park, Florida. One of my favorite places to go eat was Chipotle. Eventually, I moved away to Georgia. I knew Atlanta had a Chipotle, but Athens did not. So, you can imagine my excitement when I heard we were getting one.
That excitement was short lived.
Every single experience I had at Chipotle in Florida had been pleasant, quick and delicious. I was expecting this same sort of experience at the Chipotle in Athens.
I have been here 4 times now and have left disgruntled each and every time. This last visit takes the cake for the worst experience I have ever had at Chipotle.
When we pulled up we saw a sign on the door that said "Register down. Please pay in cash." While this isn't anyones fault, and I can understand these things happen, it added to the experience. So, I had to go to an ATM and get out cash and come back. Fine, whatever.
When I finally entered Chipotle, I could tell they were busy, but not overly packed. The first woman I dealt with on the assembly line with was very kind and made the first couple of minutes of the experience good. Everything went downhill after that.
The second woman I dealt with did not know what she was doing. This seems to be a common thing with the staff at the Athens location. Every time I have been there, everyone on the staff acts like it's their first day on the job. This lady was extremely slow, put the wrong toppings on my burrito bowl and was generally nonchalant about the entire thing.
It really hit the fan when she ran out of guacamole. So, now, there are at least 5 or 6 burrito bowls lined up, ready to get guacamole and maybe 2 or 3 patrons ahead of me still waiting for it. While the woman called for the staff in the back that they needed the topping, they seemed to kind of shrug it off and continued having fun, joking, laughing, doing really whatever they wanted to do.
I finally get to the cashier. She doesn't ask me how my experience was, doesn't even look at me. Says my total, I pay her and she's on to the next guest. Clearly my business was not appreciated.
10 minutes go by and I still do not have my food. My food is getting cold, as well as the other patrons who are still waiting for guacamole.
When they finally decide that they should refill the guacamole, they start giving it to the people in front of me who had been waiting for sides. One of the employees walked out, gave the side to one of the women that were waiting and then proceeds to hit on her. She was humiliated. Ridiculous.
She was obviously creeped out and left immediately.
When it comes time for them to put the guacamole on everyone's food, they actually FORGET which one belonged to whom. That took another 5 or 7 minutes to sort that out. They almost gave my food away to someone else before me. I quickly took my bag and left the store.
I got two carnitas burrito bowls. I had never had one before, but my wife assured me that they were delicious.
When we get home with our food, I just tried to look through the less than awesome experience and just eat. This proved to be a challenge as well.
All of the meat that was put on my burrito bowl was fat. All of it. None of it was edible. I have no idea what the issue was, but this meat was terrible. I had to throw most of it away.
The experience aside, I spent $20 on food I couldn't even eat. Disgusting.
This has put an extremely sour taste in my mouth for Chipotle. I will be sure to tell my friends about the poor experience at the Athens location.
I'm very disappointed. I have gone to loving Chipotle to choosing Moes instead.
Something should be done at the Athens location, because this is not the Chipotle I have grown to love.

Provided by YP.comOk, where do I start? It's VERY EXPESNSIVE for the amount of food that you DON'T get! Chips and salsa are extra, the burrito is not that big and there isn't a variety of sides to choose from to go on the burrito. I just finised eating mine and I wasn't impressed w/ it AT ALL!! It's NOTHING compared to Barberito's or Moe's!! Very disappointed!! Needless to say, I MOS. DEF. will NOT be going back to this place!!! Since it's a 5 star rating system, this restaurant gets 5 thumbs down from me!!
