Aspen Cardiology offers year-round cardiology services, including elctrophysiology, with seven days per week coverage. Dr. Gerson and Dr. Schuller have regular office hours at the hospital and in Basalt, and they are on call for emergencies several nights of the month. Appointments with Dr. Gerson and Dr. Schuller can be made by calling 970.544.7388.

Aspen Valley Hospital’s Cardiology Clinic provides world-class, specialized cardiology care. We use a multi-disciplinary approach, which includes the patient, the primary care physician and other healthcare providers, ensuring the cardiac care you receive at our hospital is as comprehensive as possible. We see patients 18 years and older for a variety of cardiac conditions, including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, lipid disorders and heart failure. We are here for you year-round, with office hours Monday – Friday. Our board-certified cardiologists provide unparalleled service at our Network of Care locations in both Aspen and Basalt. Dr. Schuller also see patients in Glenwood Springs at Valley View Hospital during specific times throughout the month. Please call the clinic for his Glenwood schedule. Cardiology Services and Areas of Expertise: • Bubble Study • Stress Testing (including treadmill, nuclear and adenosine) • Pacemaker, Defibrillator and Loop Recorder Interrogation • PT/INR Point-of-Care Testing • Ziopatch Heart Monitor • Cardioversion • Tilt Table Test • Pulmonary Function Test • Holter Monitor • Nocturnal Oximetry Testing • Event Monitor • Ambulatory Oxygen Study • Echocardiogram • Pacemaker and Defibrillator Implantation and Battery Change (performed at Valley View Hospital) • Ablation (performed at Valley View Hospital) for conditions such as VT (ventricular tachycardia), SVT (supraventricular tachycardia), AFib (atrial fibrillation), Aflutter (atrial flutter) • EKG • Loop implants/explants Patients enjoy convenience at the outpatient Coumadin Clinic where we monitor patients on blood thinners using point-of-care PT/INR testing. The clinic monitors patients with DVT, pulmonary embolus and atrial fibrillation. Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in Aspen only. *The clinic is open Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for phone calls and walk-in inquiries.
