I was put into this facility in 2015. I went by the name "Jose Aguilar." When I was checked in I was so homesick that I wouldn't eat. Then this very nice lady named Mrs.A (as we called her) let me talk to my grandmother to feel a little bit better. There were some staff that were very nice such as Mr.josh, Mrs.A, Mrs.jamica. They were the ones you could really trust. This facility has some staff that really care about you and care about your safety and they really try to help you so that you can get better and feel better so that you can go home and live a stress free life. They had food that was very good, and the schooling was really helpful. They would help you on any problem. They helped me so much that I got all A's. Though there are some staff that only care about how much is written on their paycheck. Those staff would be rude and they would make you feel bad about yourself. The fights that would go on would sometimes be contained right when it happens but some times it wouldn't be right when it starts so it would be handled a few minutes after people were hurt. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs the help, but to the parents I would think about what you will be putting your child through. About how much pain they would feel and how much they will be helped. I always hope that someday I will be able to contact Mrs.jamica because she was one of the staff that I personally connected with and I would not have been able to get through that place without her. And that is my review on Oak Plains Academy.

i was a resident at oak plains academy and it was the best residential facility i was ever in. it had good services and the staff and nurses were wonderful along with the therapist. if you ever needed someone to talk to someone was there for you as soon as they could be there everything about oak plains academy is wonderful i would recomend it to anyone who needed help. i love everyone there and the food was great and in school you could focus.
