- OsteoporosisAsheville Arthritis & Osteoporosis Center has a fee schedule for patients who don’t have health insurance or otherwise prefer self pay on the day of service.
- ArthritisInflammation of the joints (arthritis) is a major symptom of many of these disorders, but all other organ systems (such as muscles, heart, lungs, blood, kidneys, and skin) can be involved. Several of these diseases, such as gout and infectious arthritis, are well understood and the treatment is straightforward. Others, which involve alterations of the body’s immune system, such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, are less well understood and more difficult to treat.
- RheumatologyOur physicians will continue to monitor safety, effectiveness, and other information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the American College of Rheumatology, and state and local health departments.
- Primary CareIt is best to have a family doctor or general internist in charge of your overall care. We will be working with this primary care physician, and he or she will direct your overall health care. Your primary care physician will be kept informed of the results of exams, studies, and treatment plans.
- Emergency CareIf an emergency arises after office hours, contact your regular physician, or seek care at your local emergency room or urgent care center.
- ImmunizationsThe physicians of Asheville Arthritis have reviewed safety and effectiveness data on the available coronavirus COVID-19 vaccinations. At this time we recommend that all our patients proceed with COVID vaccination if they are 6 months of age or older.
- Internal MedicineFees are based on the time and complexity of your evaluation. The physician’s fee for your treatment varies, depending on the time spent both with you and with your records. Our fees are in keeping with the usual and customary charges for internal medicine subspecialty evaluations in this area. At the end of each visit you will receive an itemized bill containing the physician’s fees plus any other charges.
