Provided by YP.comI went to Steves last year for the first time and will return this year. The customer service was oustanding, the prices were reasonable, and the Jerky was the best I have ever had.

Provided by DexKnowsIf you haven't been to Steve's you are missing out! My wife loves the cleanliness of the place and the way the finished product looks & will not let me go anywhere else. For the customers that complain about the storage fees, they are the ones that deviate from the pick-up date and freezer storage fees that are explained to you and you agree in writing to abide by them. They are the reasons that Steve has to quit taking in animals at times because there is no room in the freezer. For those of you that do not pick up your meat on time, the hunter pays for it because they cannot drop theirs off. Plain and simple!!

Provided by DexKnowsI was supposed to pick up my order on the designated pick up date, but could not make it in time, i.e. 5:00pm because of a work emergency. Therefore, I came in immediately the next day when they opened and I was charged the $10 late fee.I have been getting my game processed at Steve's for several years, multiple times a year, and have spent hundreds of dollars this season alone. I wasn't even a full day late, as I was there when they opened in the morning. So, I asked if I could have the $10 fee waived. The old lady (probably Steve's mom or wife) behind the counter, didn't even finish listening to me, she just said "nope" and pointed to a sign that Steve had written. The sign was insulting, as it thanked all of his customers who picked up their items on time, and basically reprimanded his customers who didn't.I understand that Steve's may not have the freezer space to hold customer's items for an extended length of time, however, again, I was there the very next day after my pick up date and have never been late in the past. The fact that they couldn't waive $10 after I spent over $350 in the past few months, makes me feel that they are money hungry and care nothing about their customers. In the future, I will go to Rocky Mountain Meats in Wheat Ridge and suggest you do the same. I prefer to give my money to more grateful and appreciative business owners.

Provided by DexKnowsI have been going to Steve's for years. Up until now I have been very satisfied. I will never take another animal to be processed to Steve's again for several reasons:1. Their customer service has become intolerable. They are not the friendly go out of there way to satisfy a long lasting costumer type of business anymore. 2. Steve's makes it very hard to pick up an animal in a certain time frame. I live in Centennial and drive all the way to Arvada for Steve to do my meats. I work and it's hard to get off work on a Monday before 5 pm to pick up an animal or face storage fees.3. When I turned in my a small bull elk it I stated I didn't want burger and to make jerky. When I picked up the elk i had the Mini and the Jumbo plates made. To my surprise I had burger and there statement to me was it was extra meat. I don;t know what it is about the point I don't want burger, they didn't understand. I gave them 97 lbs of meat. Out of that I got 73 lbs total back. This included the the Mini and Jumbo packages which for the Mini is 9lbs in and 14 lbs out and the Jumbo which is 17 lbs in and 30 lbs out. I'm sorry to me the math doesn't add up. I know there is bone and waste but to only get back 73 lbs of meat back which only had 11 steaks and 2 very small roasts back just doesn't add up to me. I talked to Steve's and I got the run around telling me that's what i yielded. Something is not right. They also want to charge me to bring back the burger that I had already paid for a processing fee and change it into jerky. Funny thing is how do toy change ground burger into jerky? So bottom line don't waste your time, money or animal at Steve's meat market. I would look for somebody else. This is what i will do in the future. I am done doing business with Steve's.
